#98 - Breakpoint "ONI officials believe the data buried within this artifact is key to our survival." -In-game map description First seen in Halo: Reach (Noble Map Pack). They’re are elements of Shatter that I like but I don’t think its going to be ranked in the upper echelon of Halo 4." -Kynan Pearson First seen in Halo 4 (Majestic Map Pack). You’ve got the mantis battles and the rocket hog. #99 - Shatter "Shatter is definitely interesting in its dark and foreboding which makes it harder to see your targets. You’ll notice a theme here." -Max Hoberman First seen in Halo: Combat Evolved. Too easy to get turned around and too hard to navigate. I kind of had the same reaction back in the day which was fun map, a lot of interesting stuff going on but I just, just too confusing in places. Damnation, we remade that one at Certain Affinity, so I kind of got a lot closer to it. He’d always come by my desk saying, 'Damnation!' So as soon as I hear it, it goes through my head. #100 - Damnation "Damnation, sorry I had to, whenever I hear the word damnation I can’t get Dave Dunn, who is one of our environment leads over there, out of my head, because I think he made that map for Halo 1. So yeah, it’s got potential." -Max Hoberman First seen in Halo: Combat Evolved. It had some really memorable moments with the long ramps and the corners and that interior. It’s got some interesting dynamics and routes in it like the crouching under the side barriers leading into the pyramid into the center. It reminds me a little bit of some of my favorite Halo 2 and Halo 3 arena maps. #104 - Monolith "It’s an arena-based smaller 4v4 map. It's got that Wizard/Warlock feel but it is its own unique map." -Kynan Pearson First seen in Halo 4. It’s got that whole fully symmetrical outer area and then the center structure that you move around and fight in. That being said, it’s kind of in the vein of stuff like Warlock. It’s not because, again, it's using Forge pieces, not as crafted in terms of having hugely identifiable landmarks in each of the areas. #105 - Impact "For the launch Forge maps that went in, I think that’s my personal favorite of the bunch.
